Like Mary, servants of the Word
The Sisters of the Region of Portugal were meeting in Gondomar for another Regional Assembly. Sister Olga Trevisanut – Superior General of the Congregation, presided the Assembly and accompanied the work. The theme of this Assembly was: “Like Mary, servants of the word”.
At the end of the Regional Assembly, the new Council for the next quadrennium was appointed: Sr. Ludovina Ferraz - Regional Superior, Sr. Aurora do Carmo - Assistant; and the Councilors: Sister Conceição Ferreira de Carvalho, Sister Maria de Jesus Montenegro and Sister Carla Nunes.
The Superior General thanked the sisters for their generosity in accepting the mission of accompanying the Region and left a challenge with the words of Mary: “Do what he tells you”

I believe in the surprises of the Spirit that goes becoming possible historically what seems impossible to reason and extracts life and future from the chaos that surrounds us.

I believe in govern service, which consists in listening to and discerning the breath of the Spirit, who animates and guides the Congregation in communion and evangelizing Church's mission.
I believe in a participative govern willing to lead recreation processes, anticipating everyday difficulties.
