Mozambique Assembly - 2022

An Assembly is always a time of grace, a letting ourselves be looked at and touched by God, so that together we can build bridges of Unity and Communion.

If we look at the meaning of the word "Communion" and apply it to our congregational realities, to our Region, the "all together" does not refer only to "to be together", but to "doing the synodal path together"...

• Living authority in an evangelical attitude, at the service of our brothers and sisters according to our charism, is authority assumed as the exercise of washing feet, following the example of Jesus and Francis of Assisi...
• Living authority in discernment, promoting and accompanying processes that guarantee fidelity to Christ and his Gospel, to one's own charism and to the people of today.
• Authority that creates a climate of dialogue, communication, a sense of belonging and faith, that discerns and simplifies structures, placing them at the service of the mission.

This is the mission of those who have to accompany, to animate, but it is also the mission of all. It is the co-responsibility pointed out in the principles of governance of our Constitutions.
