International House of Saint Francis of Assisi - Paris

Some Nuns met some students all around a small cocktail dinner

The Welcoming International House of Saint Francis of Assisi opened its doors in September 2014 after a complete renovation. It offers various services such as the rental of meeting rooms, an amphitheater that can accommodate up to 120 people and reception rooms. But it also has 24 rooms which are available for rent to students from all over the world. The objective of the MIA is, above all, to meet people and to allow these students who, for the majority, leave the family home for the first time, to acquire in autonomy, in responsibility and especially to discover the life in community. Our goal is to allow them to exchange, share, learn, discover new cultures, values and openness.

We try to organize regular exchange evenings, the first of which was recently held in November. Covid obliges, our schedule is a little upset... The purpose of this first evening was to meet the Sisters and students, all around a small cocktail dinner.

Testimony of Angélique ROUSSEL - Resident for 2 years
Life is good at MIA. Indeed, coming from the West Indies and being far from my family, I was happy to find a second home here. The welcome is warm and the rooms comfortable. I recommend this fireplace 100% !!

Testimony of Maëlis Nocchi
Just out of high school and coming from the provinces, I was very lucky to be accommodated within the MIA: there is great friendliness and security. Auxiliary childcare student, I rub shoulders with law and graphic design students ... We live beautiful moments of sharing, enriching. I have a large bedroom with bathroom and WC and I have the opportunity to have lunch with my roommates in a very pleasant collective dining room. The neighborhood is great! Lively, with a lot of varied shops that allow me to do my shopping when I come home from my classes in the evening, without taking a detour. The MIA is a stone's throw from the Convention metro station. I will keep fond memories of my year of study in Paris and the very favorable living conditions that were offered to me at the MIA. Thanks to the MIA, the transition between my provincial family life and my Parisian life was smooth.
